What Readers are Saying!

Poor Scar, he should know better than to interrupt DarkDeath’s play time. The lone kyre averted his brown eyes from his glowering leader. But something about his body language alerted her.

“Enough, DarkDeath! Let Scar speak.”

Scar nodded his gratitude as a growl escaped DarkDeath. “By the moons above, will it kill you to calm yourself?”

DarkDeath stood up and looked at her over his shoulder. “I don’t like being interrupted.” She rolled her eyes at him, turning her attention back to Scar.

Scar waited patiently as she and DarkDeath spoke telepathically to one another. SnowFire’s hackles rose when the wind carried a scent not familiar to their lands.

“There’s a twin-tail nearby,” she said through gritted teeth.

DarkDeath sniffed the air as Scar began to speak, but his words died on deaf ears.

My pups! That twin-tail better not touch them. Rage filled SnowFire as she shifted into her full wolf form. She charged past both gaping males, fueled by motherly instinct. I have to protect my babies. All she cared about was getting to her den and making sure they were all safe. Speed became her only option as the earth blended into nothing around her. Ice filled the air as time froze with her passing and she left sheets of ice in her wake.
